Honda Wang is a 32 year-old public sector worker and rank & file unionist living in Brooklyn, NY.
He has dedicated his life to rebuilding a fighting working class capable of transformative change to bring about economic and social justice. His focus has been on strengthening labor power through shop floor organizing and cohering a vibrant rank-and-file community in his union.
His recent efforts include successfully charging the previous executive board with serious financial misconduct, resulting in the expulsion and sanction of several former officers. He is currently building a rank-and-file group within his union called 1549 For All Members.
In 2024, he was elected to a second term on the DSA's National Labor Commission Steering Committee, where he administers its national labor solidarity fund. Honda is currently studying at the CUNY School of Labor & Urban Studies for his Master's in Labor Studies.
